Sehan University (President Lee Seung-hoon), with the Taekwondo Department (Director of Physical Education Choi Gong-jip), and Solim School located in Yeongam-gun (Principal Im Myeong-suk), participated in the 9th Hanra Cup National Disabled Taekwondo Championship and the 2nd International Disabled Taekwondo Association Invitational Tournament held in Jeju Special Self-Governing Province from December 8 to 10.

Both schools participated in the competition, achieving remarkable results. In the severe sparring section for men, Park Jung-chul from the general division secured 1st place, Bae Sung-yong from the university division secured 1st place, and Kim Min-jun from the high school division secured 1st place, while Jang Ki-bok secured 3rd place. Additionally, in the individual forms category for severe intellectual disabilities, Bae Sung-yong from the university division won 2nd place, adding to the overall success of the competition.

Bae Yong-seong, the physical education teacher at Solim School, expressed gratitude and admiration, stating, "I am truly thankful and proud of our Solim School students who, despite the tense situation in their first national competition, demonstrated their skills to the fullest through the taekwondo classes we conducted. I would like to express my gratitude once again to Choi Gong-jip, Director of Physical Education at Sehan University, and Lee Ki-dong, Director of the Content Promotion Division at the Muju Taekwondo Promotion Foundation, for their active support in allowing us to participate in such a meaningful competition.

Sehan University (President Lee Seung-hoon) and Professor Choi Gong-jip, the Director of Physical Education, extend encouragement and congratulations to all students who participated in the competition. This year, Solim School entered into a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Sehan University's Taekwondo Department. This collaboration provided an opportunity to reach out to students in vulnerable groups through taekwondo classes, contributing to the enhancement of their physical fitness, stress relief, cultivation of taekwondo skills, and the fostering of local taekwondo talent. We are truly delighted with the positive impact achieved. We will continue to steadfastly contribute to the development of taekwondo and the cultivation of local talent in the future.
