The Department of Tourism, Marine, and Leisure Studies at Sehan University aims to cultivate practical and creative professionals in the field of marine and leisure tourism through an education program that emphasizes practical and field-oriented training rather than theoretical knowledge. The department specifically focuses on developing experts in tourism, marine, and leisure who are capable of yacht and boat operation, basic maintenance, and who can pioneer new integrated products and markets in fields such as cruise tourism, marine resorts, and marine pensions, as well as start their own businesses.
• Educational Objectives:
  • Cultivating professionals who can manage cruise tourism, yacht tourism businesses, and over 100 marinas.
  • Establishing a specialized education system to train professionals who can start and manage yacht and boat-related tourism businesses.
  • Developing skilled professionals who can perform basic maintenance on yachts, boats, and manage various vessels in marinas.
  • Establishing cooperative systems with tourism businesses such as marine resorts, marine condos, marine pensions, marine healing centers, marine care facilities, yacht tourism agencies, etc., through MOUs and other agreements.

  • Nurturing talents with the ability to meet the demand for national and social technological expertise in line with the trends of the era of technological and environmental convergence.
  • Developing multifunctional talents through multiple major learning.
  • Cultivating multidisciplinary technical experts through convergence major learning in fields such as aviation, shipbuilding, artificial intelligence big data, and design industries, equipped with the competencies required by the changing industrial society.
  • Strengthening the basic knowledge of each major through yacht navigation, basic maintenance practice, yacht and marina, and artificial intelligence big data concept classes in the second year.
  • In the third and fourth year, in-depth learning is conducted in specialized subjects related to each major and specialized subjects are offered in various industrial fields.
  • Integrating tourism and marine subjects with welfare studies and operating advanced programs to foster professionals in tourism, marine, and welfare fields. Expanding and developing curriculum in the field of tourism and marine studies.
