2024 Library Day and Library Week Theme Contest Announcement

Starting from 2023, to raise public understanding and interest in libraries and promote their use, April 12th has been designated as Library Day (a legal holiday), and the week following Library Day (April 12th to April 18th) has been designated as Library Week, commemorated annually.

To stimulate nationwide interest and encourage participation in the 2024 Library Day and Library Week, we are announcing the official theme contest for 2024. We kindly ask for your cooperation to ensure that many people can participate.

A. Contest Title: 2024 Library Day and Library Week Official Theme Contest

B. Submission Period: November 8, 2023 (Wednesday) to November 22, 2023 (Wednesday) until 18:00 (15 days)

C. Contest Themes:

• Content reflecting the public nature and social value of libraries.
• Content depicting the role of libraries that aligns with the times.
• Phrases suitable for Library Day and Library Week events.

D. How to Participate:

• Fill out and submit through the link: Submission Link
• Open to all citizens (individuals), one entry per person within 20 characters.
• Use of the Korean language is recommended; avoid using foreign words (disqualification in case of foreign word usage).
