Sehan University (President Lee Seung Hoon), Department of Webtoon Animation, participated in the 4th edition of the '2023 Gyeonggi International Webtoon Fair.'

Organized by Gyeonggi Province and hosted by Gyeonggi Content Agency, the Gyeonggi International Webtoon Fair is a specialized webtoon exhibition held for two days from the 6th to the 8th of the month at KINTEX in Goyang. With the webtoon industry generating over 1 trillion won in annual revenue and continuing high growth, it is being recognized as a promising industry. At the Department of Webtoon Animation, they promoted the school and department by operating a booth and conducting a Shrinkles keychain-making event for the many visitors.

This event, held at KINTEX in Goyang City, attracted the largest number of visitors to date, with 27,844 attendees. The event featured various sub-events, including exhibitions, discussions on exporting domestic webtoons, business consultations for adaptation into films and dramas, and lectures by popular webtoon authors.

Participating companies like Daon Creative, Carrottoon, DC ENT, Story Forest, Studio 389, Terafin, AB Entertainment, and others organized diverse events that captured the attention of webtoon fans. Highlights included lectures by popular webtoon authors Park Tae Jun, known for "Lookism," and a talk concert and autograph session with Morangji, the author of "Girl's World."

In the business consultation sessions, 131 domestic webtoon companies, domestic and international buyers, and webtoon platform companies participated, conducting discussions on webtoon export and commercialization. They achieved a total of 566 business meetings and a projected export contract value of 13.2 million dollars.
