On March 17,2024 (Monday), our University of Science held an international exchange symposium with the delegation of the Embassy in Korea and Thailand, and had an in-depth discussion on the international exchange and cooperation between the two universities and the academic exchange between foreign students.

President of our university Li Shengxun and Li Enji, Director of the Department of Aviation Services, attended the meeting. President of our university Li Haoyu and Fang Renhou, Director of the Student Department of International Exchange, attended the meeting. The delegation of the Embassy in Korea and Thailand was attended by Ambassador Tani Sunat (H.E. Tanee Sangrat), Minister Bancha Enyongzongzhan (Bancha Unyongchongcharn), First Secretary Ekau Witcosi (Ekkauth Wetkosit), and Tian Jin, executive officer of the Political Department.

At the beginning of the meeting, the two sides introduced the basic information of the university in the training of foreign students and international exchanges. Our university mainly introduced the status of exchange and cooperation with China and the special policies formulated for Chinese students, and also introduced the academic exchange results with Timor-Leste. Mokpo University of Science shared its active recruitment policy and internationalization progress for Vietnam, Nepal, Sri Lanka and other countries.

Ambassador Tani Sunrat said in his speech, " I think it is an important responsibility of the embassy to publicize the study abroad and scholarship system of Korean universities to Thai students."He also expressed a strong interest in conducting academic exchanges with South Korean universities.

Subsequently, the meeting focused on AI shipbuilding and digital engineering and other areas of mutual concern, discussing various academic exchanges and cooperation projects that can be carried out in the future, laying a good foundation for deepening educational exchanges and cooperation between the two countries.
